I’m a hobby potter in my late-40s, a late bloomer in a garden of creativity. My life has always been punctuated with a love for art of all mediums, but a lack of confidence and guidance kept me from exploring it. Until now.

I found myself drawn to ceramics and finally worked up the courage to take a class. Before I knew it, I had purchased a wheel and turned my basement into a home studio. There’s something magical about shaping clay with your hands, and it brings me tremendous peace. My inspiration is the world around me – artists, flowers, birdsong, colors. I’m drawn to functional pottery with a touch of charm and a whole lot of heart.

Pottery is my journey of self-discovery and self-expression. If my creations can bring someone else joy, then I consider my adventure a triumph.

Crystal Celeste was born and raised in central South Carolina and has called Greenville, S.C. home since 2005. Her day job utilizes her skills as a marketer, creating marketing strategies, public relations expertise, and providing creative design services. She shares her home and studio with two dogs, three cats, three hens, and one very patient spouse. When not potting, she’s likely gardening.
